SGV...In good Company

SGV and Co. is a dream company of almost all CPAs.  It is known for its rigid training wherein new graduates are extensively honed to be the best in the profession.  At least three years in this Company and you already have a very stable foundation in your career.  Of course, some who are destined for external audit would stay longer.  Ten years or more and you're on your way to owning this company as it is a partnership entity.

But of course all rewards have to be worked hard for.

I have been with this Company for almost three years now.  Evidence of this is the fact that I have already attended three SGV anniversaries.  And any one is as fabulous as the other.

The first anniversary I attended was the first time that SGV adopted the EY gray and yellow beam thus, the theme was "Black and White with Yellow Accent".

I experimented on wearing boots...

Last year, I got promoted to Senior Associate and the theme was just anything semi-formal.  I initially had no intention of attending the party because I wasn't sure of whether I'd be promoted or not, thus, what I wore was just a last minute purchase ;)

I wore something brown and accented it with gold.  I looked fat in this cut.

This year, SGV's theme was something that should emphsize how united we all are as they asked us to dress in a "group".

Since we were so busy with our current client, we haven't prepared much....except that we wanted to dress as a group.  And so when we saw this hat with lace overlay, we thought that would be a very good idea to dress-up.  Less preparations are needed, but we thought it would look fab-u-lous.  And so it did!

The guys wore bow-ties to complement our hairpiece:

I got my dress that night from Genevieve Gozum and my shoes from Zara:

It was a very fun event.  However, we had to leave at 10PM as we had to go to Tagaytay! See my next blog!

The Week that Was: Sleepless

I would like to mention that this is already a very late blog...the first two weeks of this month have been so busy!

But then, my first week of August is really worth the mention!  It was probably the most tiring I had (except for April 15 busy season week, of course).

It started with a Group dinner on Monday with the rest of the Project Jajavan team at Max's Starmall.

On Tuesday, we celebrated our dear Franco's bday at Chef's Quarter, Megamall.

We ordered Paella and some of their dory and baby backribs specialty.

In addition to the sumptuous food, the service was so good that Franco left a very hefty tip...

The waiters and waitresses sang Franco a bday song:

And they gave a free cake:

Wednesday and Thursday were definitely sleepless!  We spent almost 24 hours working as we had to do so much before the week ends.
Friday was SGV's 64th Anniversary.  I will do a separate blog about it!
