Eccentricity

Haven't you noticed how eccentric fashion statements have suddenly become the "in" thing these days? Take Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Rihanna, for example.

Lady Gaga has been noted for some of her...well, unconventional fashion statements.  Some of her unforgettable fashion pieces are as follows:

yes, that dress is made of meat!

nope, I don't think that's her real hair

yup, she wore that to last year's VMA

And we also have Katy Perry....

well, that's a good way of promoting her new album...

talk about not knowing what to wear!

i wonder who she voted for president...

And of course, Rihanna.  Eversince she made her comback from that "domestic violence" controversy, she has become...rather bold with her fashion statements....

Some of the other celebrities who are trying too much to be " unique" but are becoming too trying hard are Christina Aguilera (with her bionic whatchamacallit) and Kesha's WWF looks.

Hmp, could these spell a trend?

JEGGINGS

I first saw the name "jeggings" in Jag's billboard in EDSA about a year ago.  However, when I went to visit malls to look for one, I didn't like Jag's fit on me so I tried looking for it in my all-time favorite denim brand, Freego.  I like Freego's jeans because I think they were customed for typical Pinay sizes with not so long legs.  And I was able to buy one.  I think I used it in one of my Ilocos trips.

What I liked about it is that it feels so light and comfortable.

Anyway, for those of you who are wondering, jeggings are a combination of your denim jeans and leggings.  I don't know who coined the term but it's supposed to look like denim jeans but it feels like leggings.

I haven't really took fancy in having one (because I thought they would immediately go away) except lately when I was able to buy two pairs from Surplus Shop with a very good fit and was very comfortable.  It has corduroy texture though so I can actually wear it in formal events.

I have looked into the net on how to properly wear one and noted that there are still numerous celebrities who are into it.

When one scours the internet there would be plenty of sites offering you how to "properly" wear jeggings. And it amuses me how they are opposing each other. Some sites say that it's ok to wear them like normal jeans while some say they should not be worn like one.

However, the bottomline is, if you loved how you look wearing skinny jeans, chances are, you'd also love jeggings.  The difference though is that the fabric on jeggings is a little thin so you'd have to be extra careful for those unwanted bulges or panty marks. The manner on how you wear it would all depend on your personal style and body shape.

BOHOL (need I say more?)

We were in the middle of an engagement and we haven't had any "decent" sleep.  However, we have booked and planned this for months already so we couldn't afford to back-out.  Although the consequences of our actions later followed, we were absolutely sure that given the same situation again, we would still choose Bohol! It was surreal!

Our first stop was in the Blood Compact Site where a blood compact (obviously) between Sikatuna, a native chieftain and Miguel Lopez de Legaspi, a Spanish explorer and colonizer took place on
March 16, 1565 (don't be impressed, I googled that..lolz)

Next we headed to Baclayon Church which was just a few minutes away from the Blood Compact Site. What’s nice about Bohol is that it’s just a pretty small place. Going to and from different destinations would take less than an hour or two.

We then checked in our hotel: Coconut Palms. It has an Olympic-sized pool which, unfortunately, we weren’t able to enjoy because we lacked time!

For lunch, we headed to Loboc for a buffet while cruising Loboc river.

We also went to see the tarsiers and learned some stuff about them ( which I forgot as of the moment of writing..hahaha).

Next stop, what Bohol is most famous for: CHOCOLATE HILLS!

En route chocolate hills, we stopped over a man-made forest with exquisite view:

and the hanging bridge...

It was a jampacked day and we couldn't help but look forward to a new one! NEXT!

DAY 2:
The next day was E.A.T. Danao day! E.A.T. means Exciting/Educational/ Exhilirating Adventure Trip.

EAT Danao is famous for its zipline which is…lacking for words…simply terrifying. I kinda chickened-out and was not able to try the zipline and the plunge…

...but I did the rappel!

Then we visited the largest python in captive which is also in Bohol.

DAY 3:

Third day, we visited Hinagdanan Cave.  We were amazed by the local guide's expertise in the setting of our cameras.  He had numerous techniques to capture the beauty of the cave's interiors.

We had lunch at Bohol Bee Farm. We were amused by the edible flowers they garnished with our food!

We also droppped by our Lady of the Assumption church which is famous for a well in the center of the church:

Then PANGLAO! We already arrived late in the afternoon so the only activity we were able to do was snorkeling.

We stayed in Dumaluan Beach Resort:

We capped of our last night in Bohol by chillin' at the shores of Dumaluan.

The next day, we wore same shirts expressing how we felt for the four days that we spent in this Visayan island:

WE LOVE BOHOL!

Tagaytay Working Weekend

After the SGV Anniversary, we had to go back to our office so we can head to Tagaytay, where we will be working for the rest of the weekend.
On Friday night, we stayed at Boss Jessie's house in Country Homes 4.  Boss Jessie has her own windmill generating electricity in some parts of her house and it really amazed us!
We had pictures in Boss Jessie's roof deck:

We woke up the next morning and worked our butts off. Anyway, here are a few nice pictures from Tagaytay:
