It has been quite a while since I wrote in my blog and I kind of missed it. I just got busy with some audit thing-y that my world for the past few weeks was enveloped by it.
But we are almost finished now…with the first part, that is. And now we have this period called “lucid interval”. Lolz. I would say this interval is from the time that your current engagement is about to end and when the next one would come in.
But enough about work…
A few weeks before this busy-ness started (the lucid interval before this one), our cluster had our traditional annual outing. Last year we went to Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte and had sidetrips in Laoag and Vigan. There were too many sights to see that we had to give up going to Bangui windmills and the Baluarte Zoo (which I later visited with Arianne for another all-expense paid trip…lol). We were able to appreciate the way the Ilocanos preserved some of their ancestral properties and even made it a theme for some of their cities. They are, afterall, famous for it. Who can forget Crisologo Street? With its cobbled streets and antiquated houses? Or the kalesas and the antiques for sale?
Even modern restos and establishments conformed to this theme ( I don’t know if they were required or what):
Our outing last year was capped off with the traditional “big night” which was themed “Beach blackout”
which I made the invites myself:
We also had our shirt printed and the design was made by Darly Jimenea:
Anyway this year, our outing was more of an island-hopping type. We were able to visit a few islands in Caramoan and was able to see the island wherein Survivor-France was shot.
Island#1:
Island#2
Island#3
Island #4
On our fifth island, we climbed about 500+ steps for these:
And I think they were worth the sweat.
ON our last night in Caramoan, we had our big night which was themed hawaiian. I also made these invites: :)
Everybody, of course was a glam!
My favorite outfit for that night belonged to Ate Nika and Kuya Nelson. Ate Nika simply bloomed in her earth-colored floral tube dress with simple accessories and pony-tails.
Kuya Nelson, on the other hand looked like a tourist in his floral shorts and white sleeveless shirt. To cap off the Hawaiin outfit, he wore a lei. He had the best outfit that night for me because I personally think it’s wrong to pair floral shorts with floral top of different designs. (peace to whoever...)
But my favorite part of it all was the Camarines Water Complex experience!
Eventhough the rainy season was about to come, that did not stop us from having fun. That summer outing was one event which everyone looked forward to. It was like a reward from all the sleepless nights we have had during the busy season. And I think that it might be safe to say that I am currently looking forward to the next one (out of the country, anyone?).
Till the next blog!
xoxo
